SCULPTURE ON THE ROCKS
My self-created process involves many steps.
Clay or other rigid material is sculpted into a shape or figure and fired as needed.
The object is then covered with strips of copper and the strips are completely soldered.
A fresh layer of copper is chemically plated onto the surface and the figure is sealed when the right patina develops. The object is mounted on a stone base and embellished with copper wire, semi-precious stones, and other natural materials.
Each is completely unique, since no casts are made or molds used.
A design is never repeated.
